About
the NOAA Regulation

Based on the new NOAA/NMFS regulation, for-hire charter-fishing vessels in the Gulf of Mexico have to be equipped with a Vessel Monitoring System in order to comply with SEFHIER (Southeast For-Hire Integrated Electronic Reporting) regulations due on March 1, 2022.

CLS and its american subsidiary Woods Hole Group are proud to share that the NEMO EMTU-C has been type-approved by NOAA and NMFS, and ready to help local fishers comply with the SEFHIER regulation.

Since July 2021, NEMO transmitters have been approved by the United States department of Commerce – NOAA – National Marine Fisheries Service – Office of Law Enforcement.
